What it does

Reads your receipts. Photograph a paper receipt, share an invoice as a PDF, or type an expense by hand. Soroka works out the shop, the date, the total and the individual items, and files it. A receipt in a language you do not read still works: it keeps its own language, and you read it in yours.

One household, one set of figures. You and your partner see the same expenses and the same monthly total. Any expense can be marked personal, and personal means filtered on the server, not merely hidden from view.

Keeps the amount you actually paid. An expense is recorded in the currency it was spent in and is never overwritten. The monthly report converts it at the reference rate for that day, and says so plainly when no rate exists rather than inventing a number.

Tells you about the month in plain words. Categories, who paid what, a budget cap on any category, and a short summary of the month. You can ask a question about your spending in your own words and get an answer from your household’s own figures. Your shopping list lives here too, grouped by shop.

No bank connection, on purpose. Soroka never asks for a bank login, because it never needs one. There is nothing to leak and nothing to revoke.
